Porto is the country's second city and the capital of northern Portugal. The city is especially known for its wine (no equivalent in the world!) which is actually marketed in nearby Vila Nova de Gaia.
Porto has a historic center classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and we can advice among other places to visit:
- The Clerics's Tower
- Palacio da Bolsa
- Avenue of the Allies
- the Church of San Francisco
- the Porto Cathedral
- the Municipality of Porto
- the São Bento train station
- Ribeira
Porto is also regarded as a university town, where many students come from abroad (via the Erasmus program for example) to take advantage by knowing Invicta City and what it has to offer in terms of concerts / festivals (like the Optimus Primavera Sound) , night outs, sport's events (with the clubs of FC Porto and Boavista Futebol Club), etc..
